Process Authority
Environmental monitoring is an essential tool to verify the effectiveness of your sanitation and GMP programs. Drawing from many years of in-plant experience, Mérieux NutriSciences consultants can help you design, implement, and improve an effective environmental monitoring program.
- California Proposition 65 Compliance
- Pesticide Compliance
- Ingredient Safety
- Allergen Management Recall Prevention
An evaluation of pasteurized, shelf-stable, acid/acidified food products is conducted by a Process Authority Consultant, where a PA letter is created. The PA letter includes a full evaluation of product formulation and processing procedures, as well as Quality Assurance recommendations and/or requirements designed to help assure the safety and quality of the finished product(s), which ensure a microbiologically shelf-stable product, as well as to satisfy FDA acidified food regulations(21CFR 114 and 21 CFR 108).
Types of Monitoring We Offer
Allergen Management
Well-designed and executed allergen management programs are critical to avoid costly recalls caused by mislabeling and inadvertent cross-contact of ingredients. From plant sanitation procedure assessments to vendor selection and approval, we can review and help you improve every part of your allergen management program.
Food Defense
Food Defense programs are designed to protect your manufacturing environment and products from criminal or terrorist acts. IFS and BRC have added specific mandatory requirements for Food Defense in their latest Food Safety Standards edition. Mérieux NutriSciences offers consulting and training in Food Defense based on our international experience in the field.
